Secondary double glazing

Hello everyone

We've recently moved house and there is no double glazing in upstairs windows. Our bedroom is freezing mainly coz of v. draughty window! Got mega think curtains from family members but really need double glazing. On a v. tight budget (aren't we all?!

) so was considering buying secondary double glazing.

I've seen a few websites where you can send measurements of your window and they will send the window pane out to you for you fit yourself.

I just wondered has anyone ever bought secondary double glazing and fixed it themselves and if so how did it go?
