No, she just said she didnt know what else to do, lol......but i have just rang a few numbers for barclays, and got through to the team that actually close acounts down, and they said to ring them back and try again as theres no reason why it shouldnt go through, i i may pop into the branch and ask to speak to someone else.
Thanks for your reply0 -

Just an update...DH still doesnt have an account with Barclays, i have rang and spoke to the branch manager, who looked into it yesterday, she rang back and asked DH to go down tomoz at 9.30 and take his ID back down with him...DH was a little confused, first she said they dont give a reason for refusal..then went on to say something about it saying something about his ID......so basically i personally think theres a problem with what the woman doing the application put into the computer as he rang co-op yesterday who said over the phone that as far as he could see all had gone ok....so we will wait and see if the co-op card arrives, and he may even get a barclays as well hehehehe...or none at all!!!!
All very strange as i didnt have a single problem opening mine;)0 -

Barclays now opened:beer:
It appears they had a barclays credit card account on files in DHs files from our old address....so the person who dealt with us said she could only think that this had caused the problems, and that as she had put 2 appeals in they had dug deaper and sorted it, as there was no balance on the card, and i am sure we had actually cancelled it at some point....obviously not been used for some years as been in this house 4 years in january!!!!
So its sorted:D0 -
Well done, glad that you have finally got it sorted:T:pB&SC No. 298
