How to pay without paying for delivery

I recently won an item on ebay that was near to my home so I emailed the seller asking if it would be possible to pick it up rather than have it posted as it wasn't listed as local pick up.
They responded with yes that's fine so I bid more than I would if I was going to pay the postage and won the item.

I contacted them straight after to ask for their address and provided my phone number, they eventually responded via email to say they were busy and I'd have to wait till last weekend to get the item and obviously pay.

On Friday I emailed asking for an address again and what time was best to come, and I had no response so I emailed again yesterday again providing my phone number and asking when I could come and collect.

I'm now starting to get worried that they will report me for not paying so want to pay via paypal for just the item not the postage but can't seem to figure out how.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

that ideawon't work even if you could just pay the item price because you hadn't paid the full invoice price aNPB can still be opened against you.

Get their contact number from ebay & give them a ring to ask when you can collect.

Thanks for the info, I tried this but no answer as of yet. Have sent yet another email hopefully I'll get a response soon.

So Mental, this link to an ebay page might put your mind at rest about the seller reporting you for non payment, it seems to me from reading this that they would need to send you a payment reminder first, and if they did open a non paying bidder case you get a chance to explain why you haven't paid yet, so would be able to put your side of it about being unable to contact the seller. Failing that, if it's not too far from where you live, perhaps you could call round at the address - their computer might have gone down leaving them unable to contact anyone.
