  • I am very tempted with this deal... but I would prefer a external bell box I am assuming that the control panel has no outputs to run a traditional wired Bell Box?

Has anyone used the Visonic wireless external bell box like this one ....http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=SEV-MCS700

As you can see it is half the price of the BT one and I believe that Visonic make the BT alarm system so would imagine it will be compatible... any ideas?

Very tempted, would I be able to get a reduction of my house and contents insurance as well if I installed one of these you reckon?

No. You'd need a NACOSS approved alarm installation with annual maintenance for that.

From BT Website: "This is subject to a subscription to a monitoring service incurring a separate monthly fee. The BT Home Monitor VP1000 comes with first 3 months monitoring included in the price. After this time, monitoring is charged at a monthly fee of £5.00."

Anyone know if it is possible to use remote monitoring with out paying £5 per month?

bought one of these an unfortunately it was damaged when it arrived, have gone to try and contact savastore but to my horror it looks like they might have ceased trading and theres no apparent way to contact them:

It is Globally Ltd’s intention to invest heavily in the underlying technology behind Savastore.com, and to provide a platform that will enable it to resume and expand upon Watford Electronics’ existing business.

Wherever possible Globally Ltd will assist and support all existing Savastore.com customers whose goods are not already covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

Globally Ltd will endeavour to fulfil all unshipped Savastore.com orders. In line with Watford Electronics’ existing policy, Globally Ltd will not charge Savastore.com customers until orders have been despatched.

Globally Ltd would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of Savastore.com.

    Yours sincerely,

    Globally Ltd

Information relating to warranty and returns procedures for existing Savastore.com customers whose products are not covered by a manufacturer’s warranty will be provided within the next 48 hours.

Hi, sorry to bump this post, but as quoted above is the Visonic MCS-700 compatible with the BT VP1000 system? External bell is necessary for this alarm system I think..
    Thanks
