    So basically they're saying banks need to raise more capital. Doesn't sound particularly earth-shattering!

    Seems as if Italy has agreed to raise retirement age to 67. Amongst other budgetry changes.

    So piece by piece the jig saw is coming together.

    It's one advantage of can kicking - it gives time to get the pieces together.

    There seems to be a broad realisation that the current welfare system is unaffordable and something has to give. Maybe pension age will become standardised across Europe given time.

    I can't say that I know the details of the plan, but given past performance, I'd say they've found a way of hiding the problem rather than solving it. That's probably why they`ve got the problem in the first place.

    Buy now, pray later. That seems to be the way the world works.
