Raising a legal case for compensation 15-16 yrs after incident?

Hi guys, not sure it this is the correct place to post this or if theres even a section for it on here?

I want to know if it's at any way 'possible' to raise a legal case for compensation if it's around 15-16 years after an incident that occured?

Note: There was no case originally raised due to parents having difficult family circumstances.

Short Summary of my incident:

At 9-10 yrs old there was a salvation army building that has short maybe 3-4ft walls that was easily accessible with no warning signs leading to an unsecured glass greenhouse with the roof at wall height. As I young kid I did'nt see any warning signs as no were present so being naive I climbed the wall with ease and stepped onto the glass greenhouse and fell through the roof which was maybe 7-8ft fall.

Injuries I sustained were two front teeth permanantly missed, broken jaw on both sides and spent a total of 1 month in hospital.
Thanks for reading, if there is at all any chance of raising a legal case wither representing myself I Would like to know.

I've got evidence of hospital records, and there must have been accident reports and photos filed from salvation army themselfs, however two days after this, the greenhouse was demolised and not even roof replaced which suggest's they were further negligant "typo".
Thanks

Its too long ago now so you have no chance. The 1980 limitation act prevents it to no more than 3 years after the event at age 18.

    Just to clarify....

Where the injury is to a child, the three year limitation period begins on the child's 18th birthday.

3 years from the event or, if under 18, 3 years from turning 18.

Sorry but irrespective of the time that's elapsed since were you not clever enough at 9/10 to understand that standing on a glass roof was stupid without having a sign to tell you ??

Assuming you still feel you deserve compensation is your 'need' greater than those others that the Salvation Army will help with their funds ?

If you're not a troll you need to get a reality check

Im no law expert, but if if you could, surely they could have a counter claim for trespassing or criminal damage.

I respect the other views stated on this regarding 1980 limitation act, however I understand that there may be an exemption under decretion were I can prove my reasons for not claiming soon.

To quote this guy, you clearly don't know what your talking about, your assuming the average intelligence of 9-10 yr old, it's not your place to question if or not I was smart enough to know if a greenhouse was safe, further to my point at the time I did'nt know the roof was glass as it was painted dark!

However as I said in my OP. I stated I was naive, my point is that it's negligence on the behlf of Salvation Army having not had any warning signs or obstruction on the wall.

In fact this was waiting to happen heres a quote from a mananger I knew working there at the time

"That greenhouse should, have been taken down long ago, I'm surprised an accident did'nt happen sooner"

There is not, you cannot sue 15/16 years later.

Could you have actually read the sign (I know of children at that age who wouldn't be able to) and also did you always do as you were told anyway.

The greenhouse was demolished so no other poor trespassing soul could have a similar accident - surely that it the outcome you desire?
