heres the back ground info
i sold some genuine uggs on ebay recently. they were in excellent condition.
the buyer sent me an email saying the boots werent as described they were dirty filthy AND DAMAGED and she wanted a full refund.
THIS WASNT TRUE AT ALL
after a bit of detective work i found the buyer had also purchased another pair of uggs at the same time.
i believe the sellers only ever planned on keeping one pair and now she has opened DISPUTE against me wanting full refund, stating that the boots have an inch tear this certainly was not the case when i posted them i believe they have been damaged on purpose.
obviously im not happy refunding her especially as i believe she has damaged my boots.
were do i stand with this? if they are returned damaged is this criminal damage??? do i have to issue refund??
thank you this is my first post/rant im really annoyed xx

If she opens a SNAD case she will no doubt be told to return at her expense for a full refund.
I would message & ask if the buyer has got the two pairs mixed up as the pair you sold were in very good condition.0 -
thank you hermum
mine were black the other ones were sand coloured now she emailing me saying i had worn them longer then 3 months??? how on earth does she expect someone to prove that??
it is just a nightmare i am constantly getting emails from her through ebay with her changing her mind on what the problem. first she said they werent as described then they were damaged now i have wore them longer then 3 months??
i would issue full refund but if they are now damaged what use are they to me.
i believe it is a scam and a major headache!!!

Just send a message via email saying that the boots were sent out in excellent condition, and if she's not happy with them, then she can return them for a full refund.
She'll have to send them back tracked at her own expense.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Could be that she'll keep yours and send you some worn out ones back.0

I wouldn't have offered a partial refund, that's probably what she was hoping for.
I'd apologise that they weren't as she expected & ask her to return for a full refund.
Hopefully you'll either get them back as you sent them or you'll not hear from her again.0 -
Make sure your paypal account is empty and not linked to your bank account and ignore her.0

If the buyer goes to dispute & wins, all your advice will achieve is the OP will have a neg balance in her Paypal, if she doesn't put the money in to clear it won't be able to buy-sell on ebay again & will no doubt get the debt sent to a collection agency.
All in all not the best advice.0 -
I had a similar problem, sold a designer suit of mother in laws to a woman on ebay, who told me it was for her mother to wear on her wedding on xxxx date. It was in perfect condition, I had bent over backwards for this buyer, including getting more pictures the day I sent the item of mother in law actually wearing the suit! She paid, and I withdrew the money and gave to mother in law. She then opened a dispute 2 1/2 weeks later listing all kinds of damage that was certainly not there when I sent it. What annoyed me was it was after the date she'd told me the wedding was so I am betting her mother had worn it, damaged beyond repair (torn, stained) and decided to scam me for the money back! I argued black and blue with Ebay, showed them the dated pics of suit the day of posting which contradicts her pics of damage, but I should of known I was fighting a losing battle from the start and Ebay was always going to refund her. So I removed my bank and cards from Paypal, and made sure there was a zero balance. Suit was returned in tatters, and the refund left a negative balance. I was out £75 plus a suit worth £200!!!! So I have repaid paypal at £5 per month since neither myself or my mother in law could afford to be £275 down!! No matter what you do Ebay will refund, its up to you how you pay it back!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130
