Hi. I'm wondering if anyone here can make me understand this before i call the bank and query it.
So i have the credit card mentioned in the thread title with a limit of £250. My bill for August-September had a closing balance of £250.31 after interest and paying the minimum payment, meaning i was charged the £12 overlimit fee and the balance was now £262.31.
That balance was brought forward to the next statement. I had paid off £112.31 on that balance and then spent a further £85. So after those two payments/transactions my balance on the card was £235, £15 under the £250 credit limit. After the minimum payment for the month of £5.91 had been taken, and interest amounting to £3.24 had been added, the closing balance was £232.33, still well under the limit.
I've just received my statement for sept-october and there is a overlimit fee on this one, even though i'm roughly £17 under the limit before the overlimit fee is applied to the balance, and i'm still under the limit after the £12 overlimit fee has been applied.
Have i completely missed something here or have the wrongly charged me the overlimit fee?
After the September statement i received a default notice telling me about the fee charged, and i've just received one again this morning after my October statement, even though i'm under the limit
