I once bought some stuff at The Body Shop outlet store in Street and they offered me a LYB card for 40p! So I gladly accepted!

Does the £3.60 include the 10% discount for using a LYB card?
You don't get it for buying the card, but I'd have expected you to get a discount of £4.23 rather than £3.60, given your total of £42.25.

I have just added a loyalty card to my order and it charged me the £5.00 and then gave me a discount of £3.63 (which was 10% off for loyalty card customers) so it has only actually charged me £1.37 for the card, thanks op :j0

How much was your order, out of interest? (before you added the card)
Around £36?
The discount is the 10% from using the card, not a discount off the cost of the card.

Yeah the order was £36 odd and it added £5.00 onto my order total for purchasing the card and then because i had purchased the card it immediately gave me £3.63 discount which in effect means that I paid £1.37 on this order for purchasing the card although if I already had the card in the first place then I would of benefited from the 10% discount without having the outlay of £5.00 purchase price of the card (hope this makes sense) It just seems like a cheap way of getting a card if you wanted one but didnt want to pay much for it x0 -
Yes Fleur, I get what you are saying, but my point was that only if you are already spending loads does the card seem heavily discounted. The title of this thread is misleading, you don't get 70% off the card at all.
