I've searched the forums for several pages but couldn't find anything on this
We're getting some solar panels done after reading the articles on this site. This means we're going to be spending over £12k soon. "Great", I thought, "I'll get the 5% cash-back and make £500." Only problem is that most have a limit of £100. The Capital One Purchase Plus does 1% (=£120) and Santander wouldn't pay at all.
Anyone thougts about any cards that would better those above, please?
Thanks
YJ

After 3 months there is no limit, so you could get 1.25% (£150) from the Capital One card.
If you time it right, you could blag the 5% on £2000 just inside the 3 month window to get £100, and then spend £10000 shortly afterwards and get 1.25% (£125) total £225.0 -
Thanks for this. Sorry I took so long - forgot to subscribe to my own thread, so missed your reply :doh:After 3 months there is no limit, so you could get 1.25% (£150) from the Capital One card.

I'll be paying 25% in advance and the remainder after it's installed, so I guess I could time it right for the first payment. I doubt they'd want to hold on for 3 months before I pay them the rest, though...
