Illness and Interview

So I have an interview tomorrow but today I've started getting a cold
I had something similar a few weeks ago but it cleared up overnight
So if it hasn't improved by the morning should I go?
I suppose it is a matter of 'this guy turned up even when not fully well' vs 'this idiot is giving us germs'
I also read that I should phone them, tell them the situation and ask them if they would like me to come in or re-schedule (though they are holding a lot tomorrow so they might want to appoint then and not be able to reschedule)
What do you think?
Have you ever gone to an interview when ill?
Have you ever interviewed an ill person?

I would say that you should go especially ifs its only a cold, it shows that your willing. If you had something like flu or a vomiting bug then I would say to try and reschedule0
-
Just go and try and hide it. If it's only just coming now it won't show.0

If you don't go to an interview because of a cold I would be really surprised if they offered you a job to be honest...0

go
I had an interview in Feb. Bad cold and laryngitis, I could hardly speak, no voice, felt like death warmed up. Probably looked like it too.
got the job though! And it's a fab one!0 -
Definitely go, just blow your nose before you get there!0

Go to the interview - it's only a cold, and presumably of you get the job, there will be times that you will go into work when you have a cold. It is entirely possible that the interviews are being held on the same day because of the availability of the panel. You might not be able to re-schedule.0

I'd go and do my best to hide it...but make sure you have a tissue in your pocket and maybe a throat sweet to suck before you go in.
I've gone to interviews while under the weather before and got the job.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
Ypu wouldn't take a day off work because you had a cold and for the same reason you shouldn't miss a job interview.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -
Thanks for your replies - I was in a better state this morning after a lot of sleep and paracetamol so I did go
As for hiding it the problem was my nose was running pretty much non-stop yesterday but has cleared up today - thinking it might be same nasal thing rather than a cold now as I actually coughed very little0 -
How did the interview go then?0
