sellers advice please

Hi, today I had a email saying the buyers item was not as described - I hadnt stated that the colour in photo may differ to true colour slightly due to light conditions.

I replyed that she can send it back for refund or keep it and leave neg feedback.

In response I have had "give me a refund and book a courior for your item"

It was a big item that cost around £7 at post office as I have messed around by couriors in the past.

Do I insist that she book courior (I dont know when she is in for pick-up) and say that I will refund the post office price + item fee when I have item back or request that she use post office as I did?

I know she is going to leave neg feedback anyway but I do not want to use courior. She is not getting refund until I have item back tho they way I read the mails I think she will open paypal dispute!

Am asking what you would do please

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't have been so seemingly cavalier about a negative.

However, if your buyer wants a refund, then it is up to them to return it to you at their own expense.

If they opened a case, they have to send the item back tracked for a refund.

After getting your item back then the refund is the original item price and the original postage.

    No item, no refund.

Are you saying the photo in the listing wasn't of the actual item?

Tell them to send it back, and when you've received it, you'll give them a full refund including return postage. If they do leave a neg, just respond politely to it.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

the photo was of the item, I just failed to mention that it looks slightly darker than it is due to light conditions/camera

tell them you will refund the org price including posting when they return it to you - they will have to cover the cost of returning it to you

Are you saying that one of the photos was lighter than shown in the listing?

And that you disagree with the reason given for the return request?
  • what are the approx weight & dimensions for the item, and I'll find you a good quote, OR, let her take it to dispute, then she will have to pay for her own postage

no, the photo was darker in the listing than the item is - I agree to the refund but not to pay courior cost when I sent it by post office which was cheaper.

As previously advised, buyer is responsible for the return at their own expense for a refund. No item, no refund
