CRB- disclose caution for new employment

Hi,

I am trying to apply for part-time jobs in the retail industry. I have previously worked there, however two years ago I was given a caution for shoplifting, a stupid mistake and I have never been in trouble again.
When applying for new jobs in retail what type of CRB check would they do and would I need to disclose my caution? Would they find out about it anyways?

    There should be no CRB check for work in retail. You are not working with children or vulnerable adults. If they insist on one, start a complaint with the CRB.

    isn't it just an enhanced CRB for children and vulnerable adults? i've had an office job for the NHS and needed an enhanced CRB where i would only be dealing with staff and 97% of the time, over the phone.

    You won't be asked for a CRB check and if you are asked to list unspent convictions you can omit it as it was only a caution.
