Life coach training

Hello Guys,

I have noticed an offer today in Groupon for a training with ITOL, with a 90% discount. I am tempted to take it but wanted to check with you first if it is worth it.

Cheers.

Life Coach - Making you feel good about yourself.

Waste of money in the first place. If they can offer a 90% "discount" then surely it tells you how bad it really is.

Groupons are great at making you think you need something you didn't before. Work out if it's worth it to you, is this something you want to get into as a career? Life coaching is not an area where there is one official qualification so research this company and course to see what skills and training you would get and if it is well regarded.

I would completely ignore the % discount that is advertised - it's a complete red herring. What is important is whether the offer is for something you want at a price you think it is fair to pay. Or alternatively, it is an amount of money that you're happy to lose if the whole 'deal' turns out to be a load of rubbish.

Can't comment on the product I'm afraid, I know nowt about it.

Life Coaches - I know a few very flaky people who advertise themselves as life coaches, people who are so untogether it's scary.
  • Do you know any life coaches? if so, ask them if this is the sort of thing they have undertaken. I know a couple who have sworn by NLP but never the qual you describe. just a thought as if this is something you want to do, it might otherwise hurt your chances later.

Plus Groupon take such a cut from the company its not worth it unless its a loss leader.
