Whoever you spoke to about it being 5.5gb is quite frankly wrong as this would have cost you over £1000!!!
The red is the data used and the blue is the price you have paid. Using the pricing system that DUTR posted....

At 00.25am you used 19mb which was charged at 20p (20p per day for up to 20mb) = 20p

At 00.26am you then used a further 10mb charged at 20p per mb now that you have gone over the 20mb per day (20p X 10) = £1.95

At 15.57pm you then used a further 17mb charged at 20p per mb again due to going over the 20mb per day (20p X 17) = £3.43

Total charge = £5.58

Yep it's Megabytes not Gigabytes, giffgaff are wrong if they are telling you otherwise.

I think the OP has misunderstood. I think its 5.58GBP for 47Megabytes. That is, five pounds and fifty eight pence not five point five eight Gigabytes.

Whether giffgaff missed off the P from the GBP or the OP misread it, I don't know.

giffgaff had told me GB instead of MB by accident.

my point was to give it some scale as to the OPs useage
