Phone numbers cannot be given out without permission. But an employer can certainly have a dress code and enforce it.0

What is the problem?0

But you do now? So now that they are enforcing it then you comply with it.0 -

This person is the school manager and they remain in that position until such time as they are confirmed in post or replaced. So yes of course the can. And why on earth is this an issue? As a lunchtime supervisor are you really planning on telling the headteacher what they can and cannot do?0 -
Taking this to it's logical conclusion...are you saying that because something was not previously written down the workplace status quo should never be changed?
Wow. That's going to put a dampener on the competitiveness of UK plc if enforced....
New boss. New Rules.. (even if they claim they are the old rules!)Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0 -

Things have changed!
My school (Direct Grant when I was there) published a booklet every term with names of all pupils plus names, addresses and phone numbers of all staff. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Ah dress code! Apparently my clothes were so inappropriate for work that it formed part of my gross misconduct charge in a place of work a few years ago (that and being drunk at work, bribing people and being violent...all of which they were happy to drop if I retracted my grievance against them!) I had no idea about a dress code either, but considering I was a smart trousers and smart top kinda girl, I didn't even think about it...don't worry yourself about whether it existed before, just follow it, it's usually fairly easy (although I never did get to the bottom of how I was inappropriately dressed!)0

If you're a lunchtime supervisor then presumably you go dressed appropriately as a matter course. Just like the teachers you set an example to the pupils, so one would hope you don't roll in wearing jeans or a tracksuit anyway.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0
