Notice period whilst off sick

Hey
I have recently been signed off with work related stress for 2 weeks and I have a follow up appointment in a week so it could potentially turn into more.
I also handed my notice and my sick note in to my current employer yesterday via post.
My notice period is 1 month and I am now waiting to hear back from the employer with regards to leaving arrangements, uniform, etc and it got me thinking; what happens if they don't get back in contact? Do I assume they have received the sick note and the letter and carry on as normal I.E just not go back?
I have given them the required 1 months notice and I understand that whilst I am off sick these days do count towards that.
I was just hoping someone could give me some advice?
Thanks

I would wait a few days and then call them and check that they received it. Or email if you have email addresses at work.0
