Change the colour of pearls

I was wondering does anyone have any ideas on how I could go about changing the colour of pearls on a dress. At the momont they are white, but I have bought a pair of almond coloured shoes and was looking to change the colour of a few of them to almond to tie in with the shoes. Could you use a Nail Varnish? Many Thanks for your help.

could you leave the white ones and sew on a few almond coloured pearl beads thoughout?

Thank you for that suggestion but the Pearls are very closely packed together so I dont think there would be any room for them, although I might be able to take a few of the white ones out. Thanks again:)

Real pearls are porous, so you can dye them using fabric dyes. I've never tried it but if you google it then there are lots of sites with tips. If you can unpick some of the pearls then you could dye them and sew them back.

Alternatively you can buy freshwater pearl jewellery really cheaply on ebay - you could find some almondy coloured ones, take some of the white one off and maybe stitch them on?

I hate to state the obvious, bit it's going to be much easier to change the colour of the shoes
