day out in london....places to eat

not sure if this is the right place....me and a mate are going to london on the 1st march to visit museums etc and where looking for a good cheap place to have lunch, doesn't particularly matter what type of food but would prefer something a bit different.

sad thing is i live about 45mins from london and this is the first time i've been for years.

Lots of good places in Chinatown - better going to the Dim Sum places as in my experience the others tend to serve up the same rubbish as your local chinese takeaway.

Somewhere a bit different - The Drunken Monkey in Shoreditch (corner of Shoreditch High Street and the Great Eastern Road is brilliant. Excellent dim sum, lots of good looking punters and a good bar too. And they'll let you book.

if you fancy a pub lunch, you can use https://www.fancyapint.com. Just select the tube station or area you'll be in, and they list all the pubs (with ratings) and have a map as well.
