need motivation...........

I possibly have the offer of an interview for another contract role which is more focused around what I do.

New agency called me after seeing my Cv and now to be honest they are getting on my nerves a little as they keep calling when I am commuting and I have already said to them that where we work, we can't have phones on and there is no where to take a personal call (esp about a job!) as it's all open plan, there are pods but they are open too (!)

I don't really like the job I am in but to be honest I am so fed up of interviews, as she keeps trying to call me she obviously has an interview offer (she could email me but doesn't) also there is a part of the job where you have to travel to somewhere I really don't want to travel to - which is once a year (a conference) which may or may not be something that will happen during the contract.
Distance wise it might be a bit longer because of traffic, how can I get motivated to go to more interviews?

There then is also the attending an interview because most employers have set times for interviews and don't think about how you get time off to attend.

Also they offer less holiday (least I have seen in a while) which could be a problem as have family overseas, and 10 days less than OH.

I know it sounds daft when I say that I am not happy in the role I am in but I just can't get motivated or can be bothered to attend yet another interview. Any advice?

Do the interview. Even if you don't like or take the job, every interview helps keep you prepared for the next, and the agent needs to see you going for suitable jobs if she is going to bother putting you forward again. Holiday is less? Contractors in the classical sense do not get holidays - when I worked contract I worked every single day, covering Christmas and everything - but that's based on a dayrate as opposed to a salary-style deal. Are you a 'true' contractor, or a temporary 'permie' (if you get my drift?).
  • It's contractor as in maternity cover (again!)

The trouble is that I have been to so many interviews (even for temp roles) that they have got boring and feel like a chore.

it's an agency which is not in the area so I am surprised that they have a job on their books for this area and not the local agencies! I've not heard of them before either.

I will try to call her back and arrange something which is suitable - I don't want to take time off for it but as I said taking personal calls at work is a challenge which I have told her and she asked at the time would it be easier if I emailed you instead of call and what does she do? Call!
