Do all parts of Norton Internet Security Suite expire or just antivirus?

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice. My Notron Internet Security 2005 has just expired & I'm looking to save some cash by using some of the free products available. But when I look at the Norton system status the only part that looks as if it needs "attention" is the antivirus, all the other components eg firewall, secuity, antispam are "on".
So I've loaded AVG to cover me for antivirus. But will the other components of Norton keep me protected or do I need to load some of the other utilities.
Also will AVG work happily alongside Norton?
Hope you can help
Cheers Madcow

No, you should not run two anti-virus programs like that together, you are asking for trouble. If you intend to use AVG, you need to fully uninstall Norton and the easiest way is using their removal tool, available here. This will however remove all of their products. See other thread for firewall, anti-spyware recommendations. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
