size 12, in inches?

Does anyone know what a size 12 waist is in inches?

dd needs a new skort for PE but the site I can get it cheapest from online only does them in waist inch size and dd isn't around to measure her at the moment. I want to get it ordered asap as she left her PE kit on the bus and it needs to be replaced. (I'm not to mad because it was getting a bit small for her anyway)

Safest to measure her. Sizing is not consistent between manufacturers.

yes, they checked the bus when it got back to the depot and it wasn't there, my last hope is that one of her mates picked it up for her when they got off.

thanks everyone, I measured dd's waist tonight and it's just under 31 inches so I've orderd the 32 to be on the safe side, Its stretchy lycra stuff so it should fit.

You could always put in a couple of darts at the back (take the waist band in)and then let it out as she grows!
