    Mortgage approvals up again.

Usually an indicator of higher prices shortly.

Approvals includes people remortgaging not necessarily moving house.

BoE house purchase approvals out today are at a 15 months high. They don't include re-mortgages. ;)

That's not even verging on being true, is it?

Figures showed mortgage approvals at their highest for 15 months thanks to loosening lending criteria and a rise in high loan-to-value lending. Approvals rose from 49,239 in July to a seasonally adjusted 49,566 in August.

An addition 237 people potentially buying is bound to put upward pressure on house prices.
