Still no viewings----house went up for sale on Nov 8th

Hi
We put our house up for sale on Nov 8th and to date we have had NO viewings at all!!
This may be down the the rubbish EA that I chose---I was completely in the dark as I hadnt sold a house for 18 years so didnt know which one to pick/not to pick!!
Firstly it is on the market at £137,950 for 6 weeks---the lady that valued it hadnt been working for the EA long(I have now been told they have had to let her go though that doesnt put right all the mistakes that have been made!)She had over valued it by £13k---this came to light when i rang the EA and said i had googled house prices in my area and it seemed that ours was way over the top!!The EA then sends out his new valuer and lo and behold it is now priced up at £124,950.So what is anyone who was looking initially going to think when they see the price has dropped by 13K!!!!!!!!!!!!????
We are tied in to a 16 week contract---ending,if my caluclations are correct on 16th March!!!!
Then, at the weekend I just happened to go on right move and have a look at our newly priced house to see that they had added 3 internal pictures which werent even our house. Lastly the board blows down on Monday and they still havent been out to put it back up!!!!
Am I happy with them---NO!! But what can i do ---I am stuck til the contract finishes!!One of the partner has phoned myself to apologise so what more can i expect?
We have seen a house we want but it doesnt look like we are going to sell ours in a hurry. Any advice please?

if the partner has apologised then thats one thing, doing something about it is anther.

have the photos been changed on rightmove
why is the board not going up
who have they chased off thier lists

personally Id be looking at cutting my losses with these lot, and saying look youll go quietly if they release you otherwise, you will be telling everyone you know how shabby they are.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • This isn't acceptable. Ideally they should have given you the option to end the contract after the incompetency of this woman. I would read carefully through your contract and pick out points which they have broken (if possible). I would write a letter to the most important person at the branch and complain. Simply say that you are not happy with the level of service you have received and having your house over-valued is a big mistake on their part.

With the way the market is, you really should have had some viewings by now. You are ultimately paying them to market your house, so if you are not happy, complain and try to get a better agent.

Also get everything in writing, especially if they agree to cancelling your contract. If they don't agree to cancel, then perhaps this will give them a kick up the butt and they will work even harder...

    Good luck
