Sudden Change in Role

I was advised a few months back that my position was becoming idle and will become part time but because i have worked for my bosses for such a long time, they has gone out of his way to try and find a second part time role i can work in to make my employment full time.
I really appreciate their assistance to keep me in the company...
However, everytime i find a full time position within the company i am interested in which would mean i wouldnt be working for them, they take me into a room and badger me to "reconsider" and how i would be better off working part time for them and part time in a random position which suddenly appeared the same day as the advertisement i had spotted.
i maybe wouldnt be so against it if the past 3 "part time positions" they had found me hadnt fell through - meaning the full time job i was interested in was no longer available.
I wont turn down the pt/pt job but i feel like im being ganged up on. yesterday i had attended an interview within the company and 1 hour after i attended the interview and returned to work, my bosses were in trying to set me up in a part time position in a role which i have no interest in.
I thoroughly enjoy my current job with my two bosses, dont get me wrong but everytime i take interest in something that means i will no longer be working for them, they form an alliance to keep at me until i give in.
I found out that within minutes of them finally wearing me down yesterday and not agreeing to their pt/pt agreement but told them i would give it a go, i had found out they wish me to begin this week.
can they move my job that quickly? do i have any rights? im sure im missing out on something. i dont believe in saying no to a job - because that job gives you money but i feel ganged up on when i want to move elsewhere to, progress/have 1 full time job/maybe some additional money and the bosses show they are not happy.

Looks like they are playing you and making up the part time rolls to keep you, will you be hard to replace?
If you want a different full time job keep applying for them and take one if you get it and want it.
If your job is/has gone to part time they should be looking at redundancy as an option as well as redeployments and dual rolls.
Are you still being paid full time
Reject any part time job as not a suitable alternative if you don't want to do it or just dothe work but keep looking at the full time rolls.
Are you telling the people that interview you that you are no longer interetsted?0 -
hi there,
my role has undergone many, many changes since i joined 5-6 years ago, i went from marketing, to accounts to pa to anything else but i have to keep each job i change to as well as any additional tasks i acquire. i enjoy the challenges of new tasks and i loved the job but the company has changed and for some strange reason they dont believe they need me full time.
ATM i am full time until this week and then they said they will be moving me to 2 days a week in my current role and 3 days in the new part time role. i am scared to say no because of my bosses who are senior managers of the company. i dont want to "p" then off and end up with nothing.
Without being big headed, i go above what i should really be doing for the role and they know that as well as being paid rather shocking wages for the role(s) i do.
As for the interview, previous interviews have never returned to say i have been unsuccessful but yesterdays one is still on the cards, i am refusing to advise them that i am uninterested which my managers want me to do. sadly part of company protocol is that if an internal vacancy appears, you must go to your line manager who will set up an interview and this is where the issues appear, they see that i am wishing to go elsewhere which will mean im not running after all of them and being at their beck and call.
Interviews outside of the company are difficult to attend - trying to get time off is near impossible and if i do, i often need to say its for a doctors appointment etc but sadly interviews i am attending often have 2 interviews before they offer the role and trying to attend the 2nd is tricky.
Redundancy/redeployment has never been raised and i am unsure if i can request this - my current manager wants my current role to go 2 days a week but he is finding me additional work to make up my hours. i dont know if this goes outwith the terms of offering redundancy as an alternative. I would happily take this if i could get a lump sum and also look for new employment. just as long as i have something to pay the bills until i can find new work.
I feel like im being played a fool and sadly sat and taken it for so long that they think they can keep doing it. i admit i have no knowledge whatsoever of company/employment law and i dont want to raise a complaint/grievence if it might not be a supported issue which could lead to me being dismissed or making working life difficult.
the 3 positions they "offered" which are no longer available were positions i had no previous knowledge of and areas which i would never consider nor feel comfortable in but because im scared of going part time/losing my job, i offered to try them. I am trained or led along for months that I will be starting the jobs and then either there is no word of them ever again or i am told its no longer available. I bring them back up in discussions but they are brushed aside again and another role appears.
Im tired of it but i need to work and make money but just feel like im in an impossible limbo0 -
You're allowing yourself to be pushed around. You need to be more assertive. Decide what you want to do and then stick to it. If you want to gor for interviews outside the company, then tell them you have an interview on such and such a date and need the time off. Take it as holiday or unpaid leave or make the time up, whatever they want, but you are entitled to run your life.0
