How long before i can Join Sky again?

I had been a Sky subscriber for about 3 years until i moved out of my last rented property at the end of July and subsequently cancelled my account. Now i'll be moving into a new house beginning of october and was wondering can i just pick up my old account with the same fees or will it become a new account and i can get a free box again? Or will it be best to just put it in my wifes name and start from scratch?
