I have worked in moblie sales and they have never credit checked me. I was setting up accounts and credit checking customers.
  • Most companies do this [Morrison's do it for all Management positions] - You can have debt but obviously CCJs etc, could go against you, They basically assess how trustworthy as an employee based on your personal credit history you would be.

  • Having a CCJ doesn't mean you're not trustworthy.
  • right as they have give me the job aslong as my references check out..and i'm due to start on friday next week.
  • i have the number of the manager that's looking after me at the branch should i call him or leave it.. i am quite worried about this as i don't like things to left in the air..

What does written offer say? If it says you have the job subject to satisfactory references then they won't do a credit check. If it says subject to references and a satisfactory credit check then you can worry.

I agree - But with more and more companies now requesting this kind of information it would seem some companies think it does
