Citicards phone calls

Hi, despite writing to Citicards and asking them to only communicate in writing and my DMP having started I am still getting calls form them at work, embarrasing to say the least, has anyone else had problems with them and if so how do I stop them form harrassing me all the time? Thanks

    Hi there
I gather from other members of the site, that if you write and tell them that their calls at work are endangering your job (even if it isn't true), and therefore endangering your ability to pay them, then this sometimes does the trick.

The other is to just say to your boss quietly that you are being harassed by this company and could he have a word with them about their phoning at work.

    cheers

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Write to them to state you are in a DMP and they have to deal with them and not you.
Ask them to remove your work number from their records and ask them to only call if absolutely urgent and give them a number and times to call.

Also, I agree with the 'you are endangering my employment' trick too.

I asked the same question on another site and was told to send this letter:

    Re: Harassment by telephone

    ACCOUNT NUMBER:

    Dear Sirs

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, to my place of work which I deem to be personally harassing.

I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls .

I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only and I wish you to remove my work telephone number ( insert number) from your records altogether

I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded or noted on a diary of calls sheet for future reference.

    Yours faithfully,
