Is it me or has Paypal and my bank account gone all weird?

Maybe its nothing but to me somethings weird. I added funds 2 days ago (£80) to my Paypal account and it is still in process but nothing has been taken out my bank. When this was done many times before money was taken out of the account straight away.

Also, I paid just under £50 for a MP3 player yesterday and it says it went from my account but nothings been taken out, I just checked again as I have online banking.

Is there some sort of change that I may have missed out? does it take longer to clear from bank?

I paid my O2 bill a few days ago and that hasnt left the account either even though I called them up and they said it can take upto 7 days for it to clear, last time I was told it would be done instantly and it was.

Everything seems to have gone from instant to slow?

I am currently having this problm too, took 8 dys to clear £3.48
and now says that something bought yesterday will be clear on the 16th.
I thought PayPal was instant.

Use a credit card? It's safer anyway.

I noticed this the beginning of December and it caused me a few headaches!

The payments aren't going through as e-cheques they are going through as instant payments but for some reason it takes a few days to be debited from your bank account.

As far as i know (but haven't looked into it) there is nothing you can do.

I never set anything as e-cheque. I was adding funds from bank to paypal and money was just taken out today, about 5 days later.

Paid for some LED lights which were recommended on a thread here, payment was sent instantly but nothing has shown up on the bank.

Over spent on my credit card and I didnt receive a months bills, so, didnt realise, need to pay that off:o .

This happened to me too. I bought something on 3rd January, paid instantly using bank funding, but the amount was not debited from my account until 9th January.

I didn't mind though - 6 more days interest for me!
