Big family holiday may/june 2012 5 Adults, 3 Children 0, 3 & 4 suggestions

Hi all :)

my mum took my 3 yr old daughter away in a caravan in Skegness this year and she loved it so next year we are hoping to take it to the next level and have a big family holiday before my daughter starts full time education and we have to pay the over the top prices

so were looking for a break for the family 5 Adults and 3 Children 0 (due March) 3 & 4

location is not too important as long as there is plenty to keep the kids happy, we are looking at eurodisney but its not cheap (personally i want to go to disneyworld but thats outside our budget)

we dont have a set budget but was hoping not much more then £150pp or £250 pp if we dont have to pay for the kids

i will also post this is the UK section as this may be more likely with our budgets but my wife has never left this island and i would love to change that for her

  • Hi.

The only way I think you will get that budget is if you go self catering? If that's what you want of course. I can recommend looking at Turkey around mid may as the prices are very reasonable and I personally think it is such a beautiful country :-)

A bit more info may help people to advise. Would you consider driving ( 2 cars or mini-bus) or would you prefer to fly? I assume given the ages of the children you don't want to go anywhere that is stinking hot and what are your thoughts re camping/self catering/mobile home? Do you need an 'activity' holiday ~ personally given the balance of ages I would have thought that maybe Euro Disney was biased towards the two children but hey the times I have been with our children I think I have enjoyed it just as much as they have if not more!
