Just wondered if anyone knew of any discount for Portsmouth. I've just had a look at the Portsmouth historic dockyards website and its £21.50 per adult :eek: Yes I know its an annual ticket (possibly we might like Portsmouth and go again next year but its 5 hours away) and it does give admittance to several places but even so its a very expensive day out.

It's free to walk around the Dockyard Heritage Area.
Just walk through the gate and wander round. It's very interesting without the need to pay for the attractions.
Five minutes walk from the Dockyard is Gunwharf Quay, and 10 minutes walk from there is Old Portsmouth.
Walk up the steps to The Round Tower and you'll be practically touching the traffic entering/exiting the harbour.
From Old Portsmouth, wander along the seafront to Southsea, with wonderful views across The Solent to the Isle of Wight, not forgetting the myriad of sailing boats/ships that make that strip of water one of the busiest and most colourful in the world.
Along the way visit Southsea Castle - it's free!
Plenty of places to break your trip for a drink or something to eat.
Weather permitting you can have a memorable day out without spending too much.
