hiya...my dad passed away in may and as we usually went to mum n dads for xmas its all going to be alot different this year  anyway was thinking of whisking mum away for xmas so she has something else to focus on and doesnt feel like she has to cook (would invite her to my house but i could burn toast!:o.)
so what im after is suggestions where we (4 adults and 2 toddlers + 1 dog) could go over xmas that provides food that isn`t tooo pricey.
many thanks.

proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money

are you looking for hotel or just restaurant
xmas is not cheap, eating out lunch would normally be £50 plus.
Are you sure Mum would be ok with this.....?0 -
How about a cottage somewhere? You could all pool together for the cooking & take the food with you.
I'm sure your mum would like it. I remember my 1st without my mum, dad came over for lunch & it was surreal. Very odd......looking back it would have been nice to go away but I had 3 very young kids so ......
Maybe run it pass her to test the water but I think its a good idea xx0 -
what about a log cabin like forest holidays? I think santa knocks on the door on christmas day...
you could take Xmas dinner with you and share the cooking ...
you could cheat a bit and take a roasting joint but buy ready prepared veg, and a ready made pudding.... just bung it all in the oven...easy.
