Need a bed in London, getting eurostar at 7.30am

Hi,
Me and by bf are going away for a few days on the eurostar to brussels. The train leaves London at 7.30am.
We are trying to work out how to get to London for that time in the morning, we live in Lincoln.
Megabus, National Express and trains cannot get us there early enough.
So I was looking at getting to London the night before, and stay somewhere cheap for a few hours.
I have looked at hostels in the kings cross area, and although we will only be there for maybe 7 hours overnight, they have really bad reviews regarding cleanliness.
Does anyone know anywhere?
We are not going for a few weeks, but would like to get it sorted soon.
The last resort, is bf dad driving us down that morning, but I really don't want him to do that!

How about taking the latest coach/bus/train to london and just staying up all night or grabbing a few winks at the station. Not ideal, but easy and free.0

Hotels like Travelodge and Premier Inn are located within walking distance (or at worst a short bus ride) from the Eurostar station. Booked a few months in advance they can be cheap.0

I would rather sleep with my grannys tranny manny danny than a kings cross hostel esp with luggage . Find a cheap hotel or TL or P Inn.book in advance. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Have you looked at the YHA St Pancras? Get a private family room between the two of you and it's totally fine.0

I've stayed in the Ibis Euston, Premier Inn Kings Cross, Premier Inn Euston and Novotel St Pancras............they're all clean and comfortable.

I like the Novotel because they have a mini fridge in the room which I can squeeze in a can or bar of chocolate to chill.

The Ibis Euston may be the cheapest of the 4 options above...........but the room will be the smallest.;)

The Premier Inn Euston is my favourite of all 4 options because it has the biggest room and nice staff. If you can find a 'Premier Saver' room, you might get it for £79. The Premier Inn Kings Cross has small rooms and unfriendly staff.
I've found that the Premier Inn £29 rooms are never available in central London..........but £79 for a room that is usually over £100 is good value.
Good luck with your hotel search. I've been on the Eurostar (early morning departure) too and all 4 hotels I've mentioned are close to St Pancras.

Was also going to suggest this - a couple of friends have stayed here and found it to be very good in a 'cheap clean and cheerful' kind of way."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Someone has already suggested sleeping in the station which is a good idea. Think of it as a nite shift without work. Everyone should sleep this way at least once to give it a try. London never sleeps so there is always a fast food restaurant nearby should you get cold (depending on the time of year).
I slept at Stansted airport a couple of years ago. Even though I am an 'old git' the nite was full of sleep. Highly recommended.
:j
(Thinking about it, it also saves the hassle of setting the alarm clock & rushing to the station etc. Incidentally the toilets at St Pancras are free but not so at Kings Cross.)0 -
Me and my mate stay at the Howard Winchester hotel which is just round the corner. Fairly cheap and comfortable.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

hi
Premier Inn is very close to St P station- and if there are 2 of you getting the latest bus / train from lincoln and sleeping / dozing at the station might be a good option....what time does the last train / bus get in to London? what day of the week will it be? have you got accommodation sorted out in brussels you can check into when you arrive for a sleep?
if so why not get into london as late as possible -after midnight if possible - then go out for a meal - china town or somewhere that opens late - spend a couple of hours out in london or go to a club for a drink - and dance away until 6am and then go back to the station for a coffee / read the morning paper ...i am guessing that even if you stayed in a hotel you would want to get up at 6am and to be at the station for 7am...make an adventure out of it.
i slept at St P station once although 20 years ago:eek: it was a bit weird being a woman on my own but with 2 of you i am sure it would be ok..
