Also posted in Praise, Vent & Warnings, went to Howletts last week, had a good time, until came back to our car to find it had been damaged by the car which was parked next to us.

Howletts could not check the CCTV so we could obtain number plate of culprit, and accept no liability for damage in their car park.

A day out at the zoo has now increased in cost for £40 for part of wing mirror and however much a respray of our wheel arch will cost.

Warning people about this, as the culprits have got away with it. They may well have a passport to return all year so if you do go there beware that if they did this again to your car, Howletts will accept no liability and it makes a family day out v expensive.:mad:

Unfortunately this could have happened in any car park anywhere. It's one of those costs of motoring that you have to bear - whether it's a careless door ding, a new tyre after running over debris or a stop chip/cracked windscreen.

I'm pretty anal about where I park. My preference is an end bay with no cars to the front or rear of mine just to minimise the risk.
