Compliance checks

Guys.. I am very worried and upset...

I used to live in the Middle East.. lost job in 2009 after the financial crisis.. had a couple of loans outstanding there but managed to escape.

I am being evaluated for a new job now, and it is subject to a compliance check, perhaps through world-check.

They have asked some more details about the dates I was abroad, etc.

Got a feeling that they will know that I had defaulted in the past.

Do world-check or similar tools provide this information as well?

depends what sort of "compliance check" you mean. CRB? Credit check?

I'd say there is a fair chance you will fall under "financial risk"

from that page you can make a DPA request to see what they hold on you.

You'd stand a better chance if you repaid the debts, of course.

Thanks. Not sure why they were asking about the specific dates though.. all checks could be done through passport no. name and DOB.

because they need a full 5 or 10 year employment record to check you were not at her majesty's leisure and will check with previous employers that you were working for them when you said you were.
