Diamond engagement ring for the OH

Hi this is my first post but im a long time reader of the forums and would value some advice on buying my girlfriend a diamond engagement ring.

Been pondering the birmingham jewellery centre or london jewellery centre also was wondering if anyone has any dealings with buying a loose diamond then buying a ring seperate. Ive been looking at diamondmanufacturers and qualitydiamonds any help would be most appreciated.

I would second a trip to birmingham. Got my rings there and there is masses of choice in the pre-made or you can customise to suit. Have fun!

I can recommend The Diamond Centre in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

My now-husband bought my engagement ring there and they were really helpful with advice and explaining how to choose diamonds. He ended up picking a diamond which was in a pair of earrings and they took it out and put it into the ring setting that he wanted in order to get the perfect ring.

We have been back there on more than one occasion, firstly for our wedding rings then they designed a ring for my sister in law and also did some re-sizing for us.

My OH brought me a ring from Solitaire in birminghams jewellery quarter, it's gorgeous and they were really helpful. I've since been back to have it recoated and they gave really good service again
