I am currently self employed and have been for quite a while, so obviously every so often i get the NIC charges so at first I was paying them on time, then I got Lazy and have ran quite a bill up..... fair enough my fault, my problem is that for the time the bill is I have been on and off JSA and also being out of the country for nearly 2 years as well as a period on PAYE which all include NIC or i shouldn't pay it.
the bill i have does not seem to add up seems far to much
I wasn't aware that I had to inform them when i was on jsa or away or on PAYE, so is it possible that they are charging me while I was
out of the country
on JSA or
PAYE
I can prove when i was out of the country but i cant find out when i was on JSA or PAYE, its these two im worried about, seems like they are charging me for times when i have already payed it, is this possible
I did phone them but they were not much help i also phoned the job centre to see if i could get the times i was on JSA but they couldn't help and have no idea how to check payee
hope that all makes sense
thanks

This isn't really a benefit question so you might be as well on another forum. However for now I can advise you that Jobcentre will have these details and can help despite what you've been told. You should try ringing them again but remeber your call will be to the contact centre so ask for a call back from the JSA section (you should normally get the call back within three hours). If you don't get any joy from the call back then you should write to the Jobcentre which processed your claim (although these places are actually called Benefit Delivery Centres). Good luck with it.I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
