Is anyone a driving instructor?

Would you recommend it?

What kind of money do you really earn?

And is it a difficult/stressful job?

No, I wouldn't and in a nutshell here is why .. Training costs about £3k - £4k. Training varies in standard but is tough. The qualifications are hard to pass and about only 1 in 10 who pays up actually becomes an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor).

If you want any sort of life outside of work you won't earn anywhere near £30k like some of those ads say.

Work is hard to come by - too many instructors and not enough pupils. Some firms are offering lessons at ridiculous prices which not only means that you just can't earn any money but it also demeans the profession.

I didn't find the actual instructing difficult or stressful for most of the time. what is stressful is trying to make a living.

    My advice is to avoid!
