Things to do in skipton with boys aged 13yrs

just been speaking to my parents and have been offered a night in skipton for free,its in the town center and for 1 night.I haven't been for years and just remember a stream/river you can walk down....is there much to do in the town center?? We'd basically be stuck dropped off about 4pm and picked up at 6pm the next day.

You can walk along the canal, there are some shops and a market (not sure what days). There's Skipton Castle which is in the town centre - never been though so not sure of the cost. Highlight has to be Busy Lizzies fish and chip shop on the bridge - it's brilliiant!:j0
