MCOL vs Old Fashion Paper Submission

Hey All.
In preperation for my potential future County Court action against various creditors, I am getting all the necessary documents in order.
After some research, being a full-time mature student and on a low income I believe I can get support towards paying my court fee's.
I therefore have EX160 forms ready to complete along with N1 forms.
My question though is how easy is the claim to manage when submitting your claim the old fashion way, on paper.
Most people on this board seem to use the MCOL site which is obviously quicker and you can do quite a few fancy things online such as make changes and administer your claim.
Has anyone reclaimed charges the old fashion way? How did you find it?

I always use the local county court to make claims. I find it easier to attach any information I want (you can attach a lot more information than you can online). In the particulars of claim section, I just write 'please find attached', then list anything I'm submitting with the form (list of charges, particulars of claim, etc). If you do three copies of form N1, you will get sent a court stamped copy of the paperwork sent back to you.
Once you get your case number, you can phone the court at any time to ask the status of your claim. I've found the court staff are always very helpful. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
