statement of reasons....

Hi

With regard to receiving the statement of reasons, I rang up the DWP last week, and after several attempts, some of which you are not even able to be put in a queue because all their lines are busy (!) I was informed that it would be sent out and "if I hadnt received it by Friday, to ring again"

As yet it hasnt arrived.

My question is; do I have to go through the hassle/stress of ringing again, and speaking to someone, without, again it seems, any definite knowledge of my request being noted, and being able to trust it being sent out, or should I wait till tomorrow and then ring?

How long have others had to wait for this statement to come?

thanks

Was a couple of weeks for me.
The timetable of any appeals process is extended until you've received it - if you were within the appeal window when you requested the statement of reasons, it extends it by two weeks after you get it.

You could try a letter, but if it's on its way anyway...

Call occasionally to make sure it hasn't been sent to you. If it has, and it's been over working 3 days since dispatch say, then it might be worth asking them to resend.
