Hi, can somebody help me please?
Approx 25 years ago I took out a credi card with Atlantic which was changed to Alliance and Leicester and then to MBNA. After a drawn out affair MBNA have repaid my PPI and have stated that they cannot deal with the time that the account was with Alliance and Leicester but will pass the details on too them. Has any body else had any experience of this and can someone offeradvice on what I should do. e.g should I conatct A&L, if so how and what time frame am I potentialy looking at. Many thanks

That's what MBNA usually do. With my card they didn't even refund the PPI I paid to them but made the bank pay the whole PPI. This was through the FOS and I didn't get the £100 awarded for inconvenience as the bank said it's not their problem and MBNA said they didn't originally sell me the PPI.
You're looking at around 2 years or more for PPI claims at the FOS. A couple years ago many of mine took that long and now the queue is longer.0 -

See what they come back with on this,in fact, give them a ring and explain what you have been paid so far and ask that they look into a claim with them for the rest.
