Reclaiming PPI for a car loan from a car sales company

Hi I wonder if anyone else has done this - I purchased a personal loan for a car through The Car People but the loan company they used were Black Horse Limited. I tried to reclaim the PPI in 2009 and Black Horse would not respond directly but through The Car People who refused to reclaim any premiums.

I tried to go through a PPI company today and they are also not interested as it is too hard to reclaim.

Can I still reclaim my PPI? I thought this would be straight forward but it seems not - any advice gladly taken - many thanks Val

First of all do not use a claims company.

It may be worth another shot, especially if you've not received a final decision, no harm in trying, to do so you will have to as you know pursue the dealer head office or complaints dept, complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, give them as many details in relation to you're complaint as possible.

Allow 8 weeks, they will write and tell you if they need more time, good luck.

Hi there, Why is it hard to claim this,could it be the year you took this loan out?.
If it is then the claims co would have to do some work to get you this back,and they dont like claims like this...they like "money for old rope" claims :D

i am in the process of claiming through car giant they admitted fault but said they would give me £100 so i refused and took it to financial ombudsman so keep going!
