Hi All,
Sky are changing their packs so you either have Entertainment or Entertainment Extra. At a price of either £20 or £25.
Until August 2012 you pay the same price BUT you keep your channels so if you currently get channels that are on the Entertainment Extra pack you get them and everything else it comes with.
For example...
I currently pay £21.50 per month for the Variety, Life Style and Discovery Packs. The Variety and Lifestyle packs become the new Entertainment pack and the other 4 packs (3 of which I don't have become Entertainment Extra).
Now... Sky promise not to increase your package price until August 2012 and also state you won't lose what you currently have so...
If I downgrade my package so I ONLY have the Variety and Discovery pack I will pay £1 less... BUT as of 1st September I then get 'upgraded' to Entertainment Extra because I currently pay for channels on both packs.
All you need is the Variety packs + any other pack (but not the style pack) and you get the Entertainment Extra pack for £20.50 for 12months.
Phoned sky and downgraded myself and they confirmed all this too me. However I think they found it funny I went to this hassle to save £1 a month :rotfl:
Oh and... from September 2011 the chances are you will pay more LOL. I will have to pay £25 (£3.50 extra per month) to keep my same channels or pay £0.50 more per month to have less.
