Youth Hostel Recommendations

We have just had our first youth hostelling hostel as a family, staying in Wales.
We loved it, and would like another similar holiday, but there is a real shortage of youth hostel reviews online which AREN'T on the YHA website.
So, we are thinking of Cornwall next. Can anyone recommend a Cornish hostel which is good for families? Any information gratefully received.
