Moving from ESA to Employment

Can someone tell me what would happen if I came off ESA and started working, then found I was unable to cope/had a relapse and had to stop due to my health?

I'm currently claiming ESA(CB) in the WRAG and have been for ~12 months. My next assessment for ESA is due in April (It was reassessed in June).

My health is improving and my plan is to start to do voluntary work on a regular basis until I built up my confidence and had a recent work history but I want to know how it'll work if I am offered paid employment (above the 16hrs/£95 I know I can earn under permitted work).

- I am not trying to get out of working, I'm just worried about relapsing and ending up in a bit of a mess.

If you are in the WRAG you could claim ESA(C) again and, so long as you are within the two year period, you will be entitled.

You will only be paid the assessment phase rate until you have another medical however.
