PPI Win - repayment time

Hi all. I've just "won" a 2k case against Nationwide and I signed the offer paperwork and took it back to their Member Services on July 22nd. One of their operatives reckons they pay out between 4 and 6 wks down the line. Now I know there's no regulation governing this, but what could take so bloody long about them transferring some money into a Nationwide account? Even if they have loads of cases on, they won't all be at settlement stage and even if they are, payment would be electronic and quick.
Are they pulling a fast one to try and hold on to the money for a bit longer?Anyone else experienced this and what did you do/say?
Many thanks
John
