Item won by zero feedback buyer twice now!!!

I have listed a gold bar on eBay twice now and it has been won by a new ebayer with zero feedback both times, first one made no contact or replies to my emails so I filed a non payment claim, now the second one has just won it half hr ago... I will place my bets it will be the same outcome...

Is there anyway to block new members with zero feedback or anything else I can do??

Thanks

If you go into your account, site preferences & then buyer requirements, you can set that to stop some people bidding,
This is how mine are set,

Have received 2 unpaid item(s) recorded on their account within 12 month(s)
Have a primary delivery address in a location I don't post to
Have 4 policy breaches reported within 6 month(s)
Have a Feedback score of -1 or lower
Have a Feedback score of 5 or lower and no credit card on file

So if they don't have a credit card on file you block them.

If you were able to block people with Zero FB ebay would never get any new customers. If as hermum says you block those with low FB (I have mine set to 2) without a CC on file from bidding that weeds most of them out. Scammers very rarely would want to register a credit card.

Thanks for the posts, I have done that. Sucks because I now owe eBay £91 in fees until I get it refunded.

I've currently got 4 zero feedback members who have purchased and not yet paid (all buy it nows). It was 5 until about 5 mins ago, when I was able to close one of them.

The annoying thing is, the one I have just closed down the next one due for closing, the members have moved from zero with feedback of "Quick payment" from purchases made after they decided they want stuff from me. Well cheers for my quick payment and of course ignoring my emails.

OP do you buy & sell on the same account? Just a quick thought, you haven't recently left a seller neg FB have you? I'm just having a little ponder & that led me to, I wonder if it could be someone trying to annoy you or get back at you?

There's no reason to have non payers on BIN lisitngs. Tick the box for instant payment.

Does doing this make it harder for people who want to do multiple purchases from me?

I do a lot of sale where folk buy different things. Would pay now, make it they would click to buy 1 and they would have to pay and then go through the same process again?

Or am I misunderstanding the Buy it now and pay for it now system?
  • I'm not entirely sure but I think that they can still add to basket, might want to get someone to check that though

I've bought a couple of BIN's from the same seller, before the basket system & after you commit to buy, you used to get a screen, saying pay now or continue shopping with this seller.
Then when you finish you go through checkout, I would have thought that the basket works the same. (I've not seen the basket, is it available to everyone, or the chosen few)?

I haven't left any neg feedback so can't be that, I do buy and sell on the same account though, I will wait until I get my final value fee back for both until I list it again
