Using paypal for private sale, Do I have back up?

Hi, I saw an item I liked on a facebook sale page but the item is to far to collect and the seller said she would send it to me. Its £50.
Now If I pay through paypal and the item didnt turn up do I have any back up Like I would from ebay???

I have never done this before so if anyone could help me i'd be grateful thank you.

    You should be covered depending on the item.
    You must meet all of these requirements to be eligible for a payment under PayPal Buyer Protection:
    1. Your payment must be for an eligible item and made from your PayPal Account (see Section 13.3 for further details on item eligibility);

  • Make sure you send payment for goods and that they state what the goods are. Do not send the money as a gift!!

    Is it the right sort of price for that phone 2nd hand? If it seems too good to be true, the chances are it is.

    It's almost certainly a scam then. Would you sell it for half what it's worth ?
