aqua ppi reclaim advice

hi guys
Just after a bit of advice, wrote one of the standard letters on the site to reclaim ppi from an aqua card about 3 years ago. This was rejected.
The cards been closed for a few years now and this morning i've had a confusing letter from them, explaining the t and c's of the PPi and that they had recently been advised by the FSA to conduct an internal review on the selling of ppi.
It then goes on to say if i have any concerns to call the number listed, i tried but there was a long wait so hung up.
Do you think they are admitting it was mis-sold? and should i write again to make a claim?

no.and should i write again to make a claim?
may as well.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

i have been all afternoon but i've only a mobile no landline and its just engaged, and theres no match on saynoto0870.
Think i'll have to write, just seems odd its taken them so long, and after declining it the first time.0 -
update if anyones interested i finally got through, and they denied i could do a reclaim and that the original refusal still stands.
They basicly just read out the letter again and said if any of the clauses would result in me being able to make a claim on the ppi i could, fortunately i havent been off work etc so it doesnt apply.0 -

Well they would say you can't claim wouldn't they. I got the same letter from them this morning. I won't be calling them as they are obviously trying to fob people off from making official claims. I am going to fill the official questionaire in and send it off. As far as I am concerned this letter is them basically admitting they miss sold, but trying to get out of paying up by amending Athe t & c now.
Worth the price of a stamp and you need a final statement from them to go to the fos-if the fos ask about why you didn't claim sooner you can point out that you believed aquas statement at that time, but in light of the recent OFT reviews and the recent court case as well as the recent letter of admission from aqua you were prompted to reconsider your position.
